Advertlets attempted to cheat me again!

Today I received another email from Jess, and she replied me that she has credited the money which was owed to me. A check into my account, indeed it was credited. I have thus "cashed out" my earnings, and it says there I will receive the cheque in 30-45 days. Well, lets see.

Today I received an email from Advertlets, saying I have been selected to do a write up.... blah blah blah....

I seriously can't be bothered with them anymore, after they cheated me of my time to do up a post for them the last time and I didn't get paid!

They think I am stupid or what?

When I read the email, I immediately clicked on "Reply" and replied Jess Ong, who sent me the email.

Star Awards 2009 (红星大奖 2009)

Yippee, thanks to Shawn, I got a pair of tickets to the Star Awards 2009, 红星大奖!

This year I suddenly felt like attending it, so I just casuallly asked Shawn if he could get the tickets for me because his friend works in Mediacorp.

BINGO!

His friend happens to be the producer (or some sort) of this year's Star Awards, thus it wasn't a difficult task.

And today he handed me a pair of tickets!

After 4 bottles of Bird's Nest with Rock Sugar, I have decided to try the Low Sugar one. Immediately after I bought 2 bottles of that at $72 each (after my member discount) from Guardian, I saw Hougang Mall Eu Yan Sang having a promotion for all their Concentrated Bird's Nest, at $60 each.

I feel so cheated man!

I guess I shall start buying from Eu Yan Sang stores itself, rather than Guardian, since the salesgirl told me that the promotion in-house is usually better.

Ouch! Thats $24 wasted!

My Nice Neighbour...

I didn't know my (one) neighbour is so nice, until today.

(Of course I have got two really great friends in my block Da and Clarence - by neighbour, I really just mean my level.)

I was happily watching variety show at 8pm, when I heard a knock on my door.

Thinking it was some door-to-door salesman, I dragged myself to the door.

When I opened the door, the lady who stood at the door was an unfamiliar face, but she quickly identified herself as my neighbour.

She: Hi, I am your neighbour from that unit. (Pointing to the parallel unit)

Me: Hi, whats up?

She: Oh, I just wanted to inform you that this Saturday I will be having a party at my place, so it will be pretty noisy. Is this ok with you?

Me: (In my mind: Do I have a choice?) Sure, no problem at all. :)

She: Thanks a lot, do you want to join us as well?

Me: Oh its ok, enjoy yourselves.

She: Thanks again.

Me: Thanks for informing.

I think its really nice of her to inform me that there will be NOISE this Saturday, so at least I will be prepared. And its also nice of her to offer me to join in la, seriously how many neighbours these days will do that? For one, I am not the sociable type of neighbours who will smile at everyone in the neighbourhood.

Hmm... at least now I know who stays opposite me, and this has definitely broken the ice, and the next time if I do bump into her, it won't be so awkward anymore.

I shall take the initiative to introduce myself the next time we see each other.
