After procrastinating for almost a year now, I have finally plucked up my courage and decided to go for Lasik Surgery.
Initially I wanted to do it with one lasik surgery centre in Paragon, but after seeking several opinions from people who have "been there done that", I have chosen Singapore National Eye Centre as my preferred choice.
Asked Cassie and Lynn for opinions because they just did their Lasik 1-2 months back, and both gave very good reviews about this particular doctor from SNEC. They have both gotten their perfect eyesight back with no complications.
When I told them I wanted to go for the "cheaper alternative" at Paragon, they uniformly said "Why do you want to go for something CHEAPER for your eyes? Isn't SAFETY more important in this decision?"
That shook me, and thats when I went to research on SNEC.
I called up SNEC that day, and the customer service personnel over the phone was extremely pleasant and professional. She answered every single question of mine with patience, in fact she spoke like she was the doctor. Cindy, as she introduced herself, has brought my confidence of SNEC to a whole new level. Although they are much more expensive then other more budget choices, they definitely have a better track record in this procedure.
In fact, Cindy told me that the doctors who are currently practising their Lasik Surgery skills elsewhere were all trained in SNEC. So the choice is obvious!
Today I will be going for my 4-hour long test and consultation with the doctor to check my eyes suitability for Lasik as well as to better understand the procedure before I actually "operate" tomorrow.
I am so nervous. Hope everything goes well.....

I had my lasik last year at Lasik Surgery Clinic at Paragon. I was given slping pills after the surgery. Therefore I didnt feel much of the pain. But do rest your eyes as your eyes are recovering.
I had muscle aches in my eyes if I use them too much as I was always on the comp after the surg. So it's part of the process of recovering. Actually even now when i'm tired, I do feel the ache in my eyes still. But being able to see everything without glasses is so convenient. LOL...
*~*xMomoirox Winterinaz*~*, my surgeon said its not advisable to sleep straight after surgery and instructed me that no matter what, for 3 hours, I must be awake. Hmm....different practices here...
My eyes so far are good, don't have any aching problem. I know it takes 3 months to totally heal, so I will take good care of my eyes.
Oh izzit.. Yeah I guess so. If i didnt slp, I guess it's going to be the same as your case.
I see cool... Haiz... Guess different conditions also. Yeah... Welcome to the no specs days. Keke...
*~*xMomoirox Winterinaz*~*, yes, I am enjoying my "specs-less" days everyday!
