White Rabbit Candy

Saw White Rabbit Candy in a different flavour. Bought it out of curiousity, and my oh my, it tastes horrible.

White Rabbit should just stick to the original Milk Flavour. This Red Bean Flavour does no justice to its brand!

Little Ice Cream Kafe

Good friends Josh and Dorina brought me to this Ice-Cream Parlour which they highly recommended.

Little Ice Cream Kafe

Over here they serve a huge variety of ice-cream flavours, as well as toppings!

Flavours are unique. Horlicks, Mee Siam, Bubblegum, you name it, they have it.

And their toppings are not the usual Chocolate Rice, Almond Nuts and Chocolte Fudge.
They have Rocher, Kinder Bueno, Koko Crunch, Famous Amos Cookie, and so much more!

You will be spoilt for choices here!

Whoa, the waffle here is simply BAGUS! Crispy and fragrant!

Heard they have an Ice-cream Buffet every Friday, where you pay a set amount, and you can eat the ice-cream unlimited!

If you are bored of the run-off-the-mill Swensens and Haagan Daz, do visit Little Ice Cream Kafe today!!!!

Hup Hup Minced Meat Noodles

Brought Irene to try this famous Bak Chor Mee which Andrew used to bring me to.

Their Bak Chor Mee is very different from the usual ones out there because they don't put vinegar. As most of us would know, most of the famous Bak Chor Mee out there has vinegar in the noodles, this one is the exact opposite. Its sweet.

Generous serving of meat.
They have this fried Wanton Skin which is the unique feature of their noodles.

Yummy! The standard dropped slightly as compared to 10 years ago, but still above most average Minced Meat Noodles. :)

Game Haven

If you would like to play Wii, but do not wish to spend money buying the console.
Or if you would like to try the games first, before splurging between $50 to $100 on each game, you should visit Game Haven.

We spent 2 hours there, and Woohoo, it was damm fun!
They have several kinds of charges, by the hour or by room.

See how happy Jason is!

Comfortable Seats, its the exact same one they have at the Imperial Restaurant at Vivocity.
I want to go back again! But this time, I want to spend one whole day!

Children's Society

The Children's Society placed a Candies Dispenser at the reception of my company the other day.

Interesting concept, you put $1 coin in, and choose the candies, and the machine will dispense the candies.

As you enjoy your M&Ms or Skittles, you are actually making a donation for a good cause. :)

Children and education.

I am blogging, while on my way to my favourite food stall to buy my dinner, thanks to data roaming.

Just a while ago, I was on the train, fiddling with my iPhone when I heard the voice of a toddler. He was going ,"Mum, iPhone, an orange iPhone."

That caught my attention, and i decided to blog about it.

I glanced down the petite toddler, who was holding on to mum's hand, just to do a quick analysis of his age, and I was pleasantly taken aback, that the boy in question was a three to four year old boy. I was surprised at how street smart the kids these days are, because I remember vaguely, that when I was three, I could probably only yak and murmur nonsensical words.

Are kids growing up faster because of the food they eat, the upbringing (more educated parents), or simply just evolution?

We can now see children engaging in adult-like negotiations with their parents, when situations aren't in their favour. When I was a kid, I had no such luxury! What my parents said was final, I'm sure most of you late twenties and thirties can identify.

With better education, healthier and more organic food, better educated parents, and evolution all factored it, I believe, in the very near future, the education system, the world over, is going to get so complicated, even parents will have a hard time coaching their children.

This is already evident in the Singapore Primary Education System. A few of my friends and colleagues, who have Primary School children, have raised their displeasure with the level of difficulty in their Mathematical Syllabus.

So, is modernisation working for us, or against us?

Michael Jackson's This Is It

Caught Michal Jackson's This Is It with Geok, Alex and Victor.

Michael was such a talented artiste, and in the documentary, I got to see how involved Michael was in the production and rehearsals of his concert world tour.

From music, to choreography, to even sound, Michael was so sensitive, and was an obvious perfectionist. He couldn't make do with even the slightest error. Unlike most other singers, Michael doesn't get the cue to start singing from the band, he cues the band to start the music. Awesome!

"This Is It" is a movie worth watching, especially if you grew up in the 80s to Michael's music, afterall, there are snippets of his concert rehearsals, and those are enough, just to remind us, what a legend he was, and what a great concert we missed!

Baby Bonus (添丁发财)

Have completed all 23 episodes of Channel 8 drama, Baby Bonus, 添丁发财, starring Felicia Chin 陈靓瑄 and Tay Ping Hui 郑斌辉.

Hehe, thanks to Singtel MioTV MobTV Select again.

Overall, I have been very much entertained by this drama series.
Of course the ending is predictable, a happy ending, typical of all Mediacorp family-oriented dramas.

Other than great acting from most of the supporting cast including Xiang Yun, Zhu Hou Ren, Apple Hong and Jesseca Liu, the one person I look forward to see in every episode, is the very very cute, adorable, cheerful and super likeable baby boy, Olympic.

If you have been watching the drama, you would know exactly what I mean.

He is sooooo cute....

Garlic.

Lonely Wallace. Poor thing.

Crab, didn't get to eat this... :(

Esther, Jay, Steven and one of their friends.

Steven's girlfriend BBQ-ing for him.

Baobei's mini birthday celebration.

Whats birthday without sabo?

Swensens ice-cream cake, delicious!

This boy is Baobei's nephew. Really adorable.

Some of them played mahjong, while some of us slept.

This is my first chalet with a mature group, and its still fun.

All in all, we (as in shared among all of us) spent 4-figure for this whole chalet, inclusive of accomodation, food and alcohol.

Its my most expensive chalet EVER!

But also my most delicious BBQ ever, so no regrets!
