Saizeriya Ristorante E Caffe

Lynn brought us to this Italian restaurant at City Square Mall.

Don't worry, its not your typical fine dining Italian Restaurant. Instead, its an Italian Fast Food, something like Pizza Hut, even the selection of food.

The food is really not too bad, considering the very affordable prices!
City Square Mall is located at Farrer Park MRT Station.

Lin Yu Chun - I Will Always Love You.

Lin Yu Chun is so humble, and Ellen is so FUNNY!!!!!

Manila Day Six

This day, I visited Trinoma, one of the more upmarket malls in Manila.
And just in case you didn't know, and is interested to know, Trinoma stands for Triangle North of Manila. And yes, its to the North of Manila, literally.

I had a purpose in visiting Trinoma. I had wanted to go to this shop by the name of Euro Edition, where I bought my favourite black jeans from. However, upon reaching Trinoma, I was told by the concierge that Euro Edition has just wound up their business the week before.

TOUGH LUCK!!!!

Was disappointed, but told myself since I was already there, I had to shop to my heart's content!

First shop, of course, Bench. Bench is one of my favourite departmental stores in the Philippines, because they sell almost anything and everything, from Tops, to Jean,, to Shoes, and even Underwear!

Past by Goldilocks, but no, I did not buy anything because I still had 4 days left in the Philippines, and if I had bought the Cheese Bun then, they would all have expired by the time I returned to Singapore.

SuperBowl of China serves Asian Cuisine. Tried the food here the last time I was in Manila, and told myself never to step in there again.

The mall directory in Trinoma. Not that it is any informative.

Took my lunch at Max's. All Filipinos will tell you they serve great Chicken!

Don't ask me what their slogan mean! I seriously don't know.

Menu

Table setting

Sauces

Lunch crowd

Mango Juice

Mixed Vegetables - Nice, but portion was a little too large.

Salted Bangus. Not too good, full of vinegar taste that made it a tad too sour!

My entire meal was 370 Pesos. Not too bad considering its a proper full service restaurant.

Continued shopping.
Some of the interesting shops in Trinoma.

This is opened by Vicky Belo. Vicky Belo is a very famous Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Centre in the Philippines, something like our Colin Tham / Woffles Wu / JJ.

Feels good to see something Singapore.

Guess what this is? Its a box of Ensaymada, aka, cheese buns. I spotted this shop which sells lots and lots of Ensaymada with expiration date as late as 2 weeks later, thus I decided to buy, for my beloved colleagues.

Don't talk about this anymore. All 12 of these Wriggley's Chewing Gum got confiscated at the Custom.

Love this candy since I was a child!

I was home early, so I called for Massage again and paid 1000 Pesos for a 2 hour full body massage! :)

Patrick arrived home and cooked dinner for us!

Oh my, this Fiesta Ham was so tasty!!! It tastes a little like our Bak Kwa or BBQ Sliced Pork, but nicer...

Corned Beef. Although the dishes were simple, but somehow I loved them!

No DVDs today either. Was a long day for all 3 of us, so we rested early.

End of Day 6.

Manila Day Five

Was a lazy day... didn't leave the house. Had KFC for lunch, and for dinner?

Jollibee!

Heard so much about the Jollibee Fried Chicken... Finally...

I tell you, the Spicy Fried Chicken is really delicious!!!
The original was so-so, nothing compared to KFC's.

This corn soup / macaroni isn't too bad either...

This is the Spicy one, they have this chilli powder on it, which makes it really SPICY!

Just thinking about it makes me salivate!

When Pat and Pau finally returned home, we had a movie marathon at home.
Watched 2010, followed by The Ugly Truth.
2010 was a little heavy, for a lazy day.
The Ugly Truth was damm hilarious!
End of Day 5

Manila Day Four

Shopped at Eastwood Mall.

This shop has very unique Tees.

I lunched at Johnny Rockets, its something like Billy Bombers in Singaporoe.

Everything on their menu looks damm nice!

Jukebox, like Billy's.

Open Kitchen Concept

Their wait staff - very friendly.

My burger, with "Chilli" fries. The fries taste exactly like the Carls Junior one.

Before the customer starts his meal, the wait staff will come over and hand him a plate of ketchup (no chilli in Philippines) - so cute.

All of a sudden, they blasted their music, and all the wait staffs started dancing!!!

Paid 500 Pesos for my burger meal.

Went to Fully Booked to look at some books. This is like PageOne in Singapore.

How can I not go into this boutique to have a look? 158 designers' blvd carries branded clothings ranging from Polo Ralph to Burberry's...

Whats a day in Manila without massage?
I popped over to Zenasia Spa and Massage for a massage.
Waited for almost 30 mins! Paid 1060 Pesos.

After the massage, I met Pau and Pat, and we went to Emerald Ave Coffee Bean because Pau was meeting a client there for a short discussion.

This Toblerone Cheesecake looks better than it tastes.

Sunrise, my ultimate favourite blended drink when it comes to Coffee Bean.

After coffee, we had dinner at Rufo's. Rufo's is a fastfood restaurant, apparently very popular in Philippines, and they serve local food.

Its open 24 hours.

Just so you know how cheap the food here is!

Guess why Patrick is so happy.
We paid only 100 Pesos per head for a satisfying meal!
You go do your Math.

This is Patrick's meal, some Salted Fish thingy.

This is mine, BBQ Chicken.

This is Pau's, Fried Beancurb.

We also ordered this to share. OMG, this is delicious!

After dinner, our next destination was the Rotary Club.

Interesting....

KTV Time!!!! KTV at World Music Room.

A Giant Jim Beam!

KTV here is disgustingly cheap!

They have a Scoring System here.

When was the last time I smoked while singing?

Sung to our hearts content. Patrick didn't sing, so it was just the two of us crooning away!

After 2 hours of KTV, the day finally ended. Time flies when you enjoy.....
Sung the most number of English songs in a single KTV session, ever!
Why?
Because they have very limited Mandarin Pop songs here.
Its all Jay Chou, Jay Chou, and still Jay Chou!
No Sam Lee Shengjie here.... :(

End of Day 4.
