Goodbye 2007, Welcome 2008!

I started the day in office. We had to work til 4pm so it was a pretty relaxed day for me and my staff. I didn't want to put any pressure on them today cuz I know how it sucks to work on New Years Eve, as much as I didn't like it.

Then at 4pm sharp, you can see all the staff in the office rushing to sign out, they really can't wait to go back!

Yun came down to office to meet me and Joshua. We had no idea where to go and apparently everywhere in Singapore was fully booked as I called up The Mind Cafe as well as we went all the way down to the pool centre, only being told that they were experiencing full house. Sucks man.
In the end, we decided to go for early dinner, anticipating that if we go at the usual dinner time, we would definitely not get a place anywhere since we did not make any reservations. After loitering around Boat Quay for like 1 hour! We proceeded to Clarke Quay and finally settled down in Brewerkz. This was the first time I dined there as I have heard so much about the place.

Me and Yun ordered non-alcoholic drinks (Raspberry Tea for Yun and Virgin Mango Margarita for me) but Joshua decided to start early and told the cute waiter he wanted to strongest beer they had in house. As they are a microbrewery, they had a wide selection of in-house beer. They have from India Pale Ale, to Oatmeal Stout to FruitBrewz.

The it was headache of ordering the food as the menu was like 4 pages with small fonts, that is how spoilt for choices we were. Everything sounded good on the menu as usual.
In the end we ordered 2 side dish and 3 main courses to share. We ordered potatoe Skin with bacon, Quesadilla, BBQ d Chicken, Pork Ribs, Spicy Pork Lasagne.
Trust me, it sounds little but the portion was so big, we really struggled to finish all the food.

(Sidetrack) Throughout our meal, there was this very irritating twenty-something couple who were grossly displaying their affections publicly. Worst part, the girl look like some kind of whore or hooker but she thinks she is very pretty cuz everytime when we looked at them with disgust, she thinks we are looking at her becuz she is pretty and she would stare back. They were behaving as if they were shooting a porn series as she was publicly pulling her skirt open many times and showing her "boyfriend" or client. To reciprocate, the guy would be kissing her non-stop, caressing her everywhere, hugging incessantly, adjusting her tube for her countless times.
DISGUSTING!
I was tempted to take the pictures with my camera to show everyone but as it was going to be too obvious, I didn't do it afterall. They were sitting right in front of my table by the way.
Back to us. After struggling with his strongest blend beer, Joshua finally took his last gulp and we asked for the bill.

The bill came up to about $150. Not too bad, but not worth the money, cuz the food was so-so only, and if you ask me, I'd rather go to NewYork NewYork at Citilink.
Next, we headed down to Blue Blazze! Our favourite hang-out.

Too bad Eddie and Sarah couldn't join us today as their steamboat shop open till 4am today!

As we were at BB very early, we entertained ourselves with free pool, computer games and lots of alcohol.

At around 11pm, the whole BB was packed to the door! There were a lot of unfamiliar faces unlike normal weekends.
The countdown was really fun as they gave out free confetti and snow for the customers to play.
Everyone enjoyed themselves. Lucky I was prepared for a mess, so i covered all the drinks with coasters.

Unfortunate for Victor and the rest, this is the result of the customer's enjoyment.

There was mess in every single corner. All the best Victor and kitty.
At around 4am, one of Mavis's friend suggested to head down to i Rumours at Clarke Quay. As I have heard quite a bit about that place, i decided to follow them. When we reached the place, I immediately fell in love with the place. It is exactly like Dragonfly and Lunar. Only con is the crowd here is more rowdy and beng. Other than that, I like the band and the atmosphere. It was like attending a live concert as the energy level was very high on stage.
We started taking pictures again!

6am. The lights came on.
Thats when it kicked in to me that 2007 had officially ended.

So much fun this year, looking forward to a great 2008. More challenges, more parties, new resolutions.
Goodbye 2007
Welcome 2008
